What is the Hummel Report?
The Hummel Report is a non-profit organization with an IRS approved 501(c)3 status. The mission of the Hummel Report is to expose waste and corruption in government to the people of Rhode Island and become the go-to source for news outlets of any medium across the state. And through the Rhode Island Spotlight, we strive to highlight and celebrate community heroes, both individuals and organizations that are making a significant, positive difference for fellow Rhode Islanders.
What is unique about the Hummel Report and Rhode Island Spotlight?
The Hummel Report is a multimedia partnership that marks the first of its kind in Rhode Island, and perhaps the world. Each week, investigative report are distributed on WPRO radio (630-AM, 99.7-FM) and reprinted in Motif Magazine. Rhode Island Sptlight videos are replayed on RI PBS mulitple times per week. Online video and ongoing news updates will also be posted to the Hummel Report Web site at www.hummelreport.com. The Hummel Report also offers daily email and online news links from around the state. Further distinguishing the Hummel Report from other media outlets is its formation as a non-partisan, non-profit entity.
